Eddie Spencer Frank
Eddie Spencer Frank was born into a family of artists; his grandfathers were a sign painter and a photographer, his grandmother a painter, his father a furniture refinisher and his mother a fictional novelist. Each member of his family played a major role in Eddie's love for all things art. Eddie was involved in art throughout his childhood and took as many art classes in high school as were available. After high school, Eddie attended Ivy Tech’s Public Safety and Fire Sciences programs. In 2006 he became a professional firefighter, and in 2007 he became a career firefighter/EMT with the Zionsville Fire Department.
In his downtime at the fire department Eddie continues to focus on art, striving to be able to draw anything he can see. Eddie is also a custom painter, and currently does “project only” custom painting for the high-end fan company, Fanimation, where he has been working since 2010.
Eddie entered into a tattoo apprenticeship in 2011, going on to join the Firefly Tattoo Collective in 2013.
Outside of tattooing, Eddie uses a variety of media. He prefers watercolor when painting, and uses pencil to create realistic drawings and portraits. He also has experience in wood refinishing, landscaping, and photography.
In the rare moments that Eddie is not firefighting, tattooing or custom painting, he likes to spend time with his friends, read, work on his yard and house and study his ancestry.
